Dr. Doug McInnis earned his D.V.M. in 1987 from Oregon and Washington State Universities College of Veterinary Medicine. He is very active in organized veterinary medicine as a member of as well as past president and board of directors’ member of the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association. In addition, he is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and currently the Oregon Delegate to the American Veterinary Medical Associations House of Delegates. Locally, Dr. McInnis is very active in the community as a member and past president of both the Klamath -Lake Veterinary Medical Association and the Animal Emergency Service. He also served on the Board of Directors and was Vice President of the Klamath Humane Society. Dr. McInnis continues to support the efforts of the Humane Society and donates many services and provides assistance to the shelter and its animals. Dr. McInnis is a member of the Rotary Club of Klamath County where he has served as President, Treasurer and on the Board of Directors. He is also the past president of the Klamath County Rotary Club Foundation and a past member of its board of directors. Dr. McInnis also is currently serving his community as a member of the Sky Lakes Medical Center as well as a board member of the Sky Lakes Medical Center Foundation. Dr. McInnis is very dedicated to his profession and often fosters that dedication for local high school students and the youth interested in the veterinary field, encourages staff to pursue continuing education and career advancement and provides preceptorships and mentorships to veterinary students.
